North Lincoln's Dellinger signs with CVCC Bass Fishing

North Lincoln senior Jeremy Dellinger recently signed with Catawba Valley Community College to be a member of the school’s first-ever bass fishing team starting this fall.  A decorated high school fisherman, Dellinger and teammate Joshua Lackey recently finished the 2018-19 BASS North Carolina Western Series tournament trail, a series of tournaments during the 2018-19 school year, with the most points of any duo (740). Dellinger, who qualified nationally this school year for both the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.) and Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) national high school tournaments, also finished third as a sophomore in 2017 at the FLW North Carolina state tournament held on Lake Kerry. Dellinger has also competed in and won multiple times on the Big Bass Tour.  Off the water, Dellinger is a standout in the classroom, having been a member of North Lincoln High School’s National Honor Society and BETA clubs, working with Habitat for Humanity and also serving in the Guiding Knights Mentorship program.
