His NBA career included stints with the Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trailblazers, Cleveland Cavaliers, New Jersey Nets and Charlotte Bobcats.

After coaching the nationally recognized Team Charlotte AAU team, McInnis will now take on the top basketball position at Combine Academy.

This opportunity will give McInnis the ability to pursue his passion and endeavors of coaching and developing the best of the best, year round. Under McInnis’ direction, Combine Academy will have one of the most competitive national high school teams in the country beginning this fall.

Combine Academy plans to participate at some of the top invitation only national tournaments, as well as scheduled play against national powerhouses Oak Hill Academy, IMG, Hargrave Military Academy and several of the top 25 high schools in the country during the 2019-20 season.  McInnis will take on the challenge of competing for a high school national championship in his first year as head coach of Combine Academy.
