After dropping two of their first three games of the 2021 season, the East Lincoln Lady Mustangs have gotten on a roll.

Since their 5-point loss at Maiden back on January 19, the Lady Mustangs have won 8 of 9 games in the South Fork 2A, putting them in position for the conference’s number-two playoff seed with just two games remaining.

Last week, East Lincoln picked up a big two-point win on Tuesday at Bandys, another contender for the second seed.

Then on Friday evening, the Lady Mustangs avenged the earlier loss at Maiden by defeating the Lady Blue Devils 69-53 in Denver.

Taliyah Thomas continues to lead East Lincoln during their run, this time pouring in 19 points, while adding 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 rebounds.

Madison Self had 16 points, 12 rebounds and 2 steals, and Marlene Delgado chipped in 11 points, 8 boards, 5 assists and a steal.

The Lady Mustangs close out the regular season with a couple tough contests this week. First uo, a trip to West Lincoln on Tuesday, before hosting conference-leading Newton-Conover on Friday.
