Former Mustang Johnson scores career-high 34 for Lees-McRae

Former East Lincoln basketball player Destiny Johnson set a new career-high with 34 points on 11 of 19 shooting, as the Lees-McRae women’s basketball team used a 19-6 run in the second quarter to clinch a 74-64 road victory against Converse in the Conference Carolinas action on Wednesday. Johnson shot 4 of 6 from behind the three-point line, and 8 of 8 from the charity stripe, to go along with a game-high nine rebounds and three steals. (Published February 12, 2021)
