The Boger City Steelers Tiny Mites football team completed a perfect season with a 16-0 win in their championship game over the Carolina Bears at Mooresville High School in 2019. The Steelers, who finished the season 12-0, allowed just 32 points all year. The team dedicated the championship to former Lincolnton High School standout Jonathan Gidney, who lost his life in an automobile accident last November. (Published 12/02/2020)
