The Lincoln Times-News publishes engagement announcements at the rate of $5.00 per column inch. Announcements are printed on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday’s as space is available and will also be published on our web site at www.lincolntimesnews.com.

Engagement forms can be printed from our web site www.lincolntimesnews.com or can be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at our office, located at 119 West Water Street in Lincolnton.

SUBMITTING: Please e-mail form or word document of your announcements to weddings_engagements@lincolntimesnews.com or mail to Lincoln Times-News, Attention: Weddings & Engagements, PO Box 40, Lincolnton, NC 28093 or it can be brought by our office at 119 West Water Street in Lincolnton.

CONTACT INFORMATION: In the event that we may need to contact you before the announcement is published, all information on the form must be completed, including contact information (telephone number and e-mail, and the form signed before it can be accepted by the Lincoln Times-News.

PHOTOGRAPHS: Photos need not be larger than a 5×7 and must accompany your form.Photos can also be sent by e-mail, brought in on disc or thumb-drive, however, we prefer that these pictures be in jpg format. The Lincoln Times-News reserves the right to reject any picture or information at its discretion. Photographs will be returned by mail if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided. The Lincoln Times-News discards photographs six months after the announcement is published.

PROOFS: You will have the opportunity to see your announcement before it runs in the paper. To make sure the information you submitted is clear and accurate, we will provide you with a proof. You must approve your announcement prior to publication in the Lincoln Times-News. We do this by e-mail, fax or by you visiting the Lincoln Times-News office in person to make necessary changes. WE CANNOT SUPPLY INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, OR READ THROUGH THE ANNOUNCEMENT IN THIS MANNER.

PROOF DEADLINES: Announcements will be published in the next available Monday or Wednesday paper following proof approval and payment. Payment for the announcement is required before it appears in the newspaper. No credits will be given for any mistakes that are overlooked during the proofing process. If we re-run the announcement you will be required to pay again the original announcement fee. We appreciate your understanding of this policy.
