Bonnie K.  Mullins, 71, of Newton passed away November 11, 2019.

 A service to celebrate Bonnie’s life will be held today at 6:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Conover.  The family will receive friends today from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

 Patricia “Patty” Harris Griggs

Patricia “Patty” Harris Griggs, 70, of Conover passed away November 9, 2019.

A service to celebrate Patty’s life will be held November 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Harmony Baptist Church in Conover. A graveside will follow at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, in Elkin, NC. at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends November 16, 2019 from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Harmony Baptist Church.

Rosa Lee Thompson, 96 of Denver, NC passed away November 10, 2019.

Funeral Service is November 16, 2019 at St. James United Methodist Church. at 11:30 a.m. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.

Gerald Ray Loftin, 60, of Catawba passed away November 9, 2019.

 A private graveside service to celebrate Gerald’s life will be held at a later date at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Catawba.

 Noma Beal Hallman

Noma Beal Hallman, age 89, of Lincolnton died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, November 11, 2019, at Carillon Assisted Living. 

 Receiving of friends will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. at Boger City Baptist Church.  A funeral service to celebrate her life will follow at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

 Born September 9, 1930, she was the daughter of Belton and Sudie (Caldwell) Beal of Lincolnton.  She is predeceased by her late husband, Edward “Sonny” Hallman; a son, Terry Hallman; and grandson, Zack Burrell. 

 Noma was a faithful member of Boger City Baptist Church that she fondly referred to as “my church.”  Noma derived great joy from being with her family and friends, as well as an occasional shopping trip.

 Survivors include three children, Ann (Jr.) Wilson of Lincolnton, Reg Hallman of Lincolnton, and Bev (Bob) Widener of Spartanburg, SC.  She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Tracy Isenhour, Paige (Duffy) McAlister, Corey Hallman, and Matt Brown; as well as two great-grandchildren, Jonathon and Taylor McAlister. 

 Many thanks to the caring staff at Carillon and Cassandra Christian with Hospice.

 Lillie Margaret Poston Lackey

Lillie Margaret Poston Lackey passed away peacefully November 9, 2019.  Lillie was born October 30, 1929 to Fibra and Sarah Self Poston in Waco, NC.  In addition to her parents, Lillie was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Guy “T.G.” Lackey, Jr.; granddaughter, Tara Lackey; brothers, John Poston and Howard Poston; and sister-in-law, LaRue Poston. 

Survivors include her children, Michael Lackey (Connie) of Sylva, Randy Lackey (Arlette) of Cherryville, and Susan Parker (Johnny) of Cherryville; honorary son, Duke “Smitty” Smith (Susie); brother, Larry Poston (Sarah); sister, Shirley McMurray; sister-in-law, Ruth Poston; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, Debbie Greene. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:45 PM at North Brook Baptist Church.  

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 3:00 PM at North Brook Baptist Church with Rev. Randi Godfrey, Rev. George and Gail Williams, and Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.  Burial will follow at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.

Sandra Dianne Gribble Schronce

Sandra Dianne Gribble Schronce, age 67, of E. Klutz Street in Maiden, died on Sunday, November 10, 2019.

 Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Liberty Apostolic Tabernacle with Bro. Johnny Powell and Bro. Jacob Sronce officiating.  Burial will follow in Hollybrook  Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Warlick Funeral Home.

 Sandra was born January 21, 1952, in Graham County, to Roma Maxine Blankenship Hyatt and the late Clyde Gribble. 

 She is survived by her mother, Maxine Hyatt of Hendersonville; daughters, Sharon Rudisill and Nicole McHone, both of Lincolnton, Lisa Clemmons (Ricky) of Shallotte, and Tabitha Linares (Carlos) of Maiden; twenty-two grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brothers, Keith Gribble (Ann) of Asheville, Rick Gribble, Chris Gribble, Jeff Gribble, and Robbie Gribble; and a sister, Debbie Marcum (Frank) of Charlotte.
