Johnnie Ruth White Webb 

Johnnie Ruth White Webb  age 84 of Cincinnati, Ohio transitioned peacefully on Veterans Day,  November 11, 2019.  She was the youngest of eight children born on March 16, 1935 to the late Wiliam and Carrie Thomas White.  After the death of her father, her mother married the late Joe Farley who raised her from infancy.

 She attended public school in the Lincoln County School System and graduated from Woodward High School in Cincinnati. She served her community well at the Old Southern Restaurant which was owned by the White family.

She was the matriarch of the family. She was the best when it came to gatherings for family and friends for holidays and special occasions. Johnnie had a passion for cooking.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James Webb, two sons, Greg Webb, Randy Webb, a daughter, Edie Webb, her nieces, Mary Frances White, LaDonna White, Tionna White, nephews, Kenny White, David White and Carl White.

Funeral service is Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati where she was a faithful and devoted member.

Charles Donald “Don” Curtis

Charles Donald “Don” Curtis, age 80, of Dave Heafner Road in Crouse, died on Thursday, November 14, 2019.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse with Rev. Rick Sloop and Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service.  Visitation will be from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Warlick Funeral Home.

“Don” was born June 22, 1939, in Lincoln County, to the late Charles Kinsey Curtis and Edith Yount Curtis.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Francis Heafner Curtis; a son, James Donald Curtis; daughter-in-law, Tonya Curtis; and grandson, Kyle Garver.  He worked in textiles.

He is survived by two sons, Kenny Curtis, and wife Sandy, and Jerry Curtis, all of Crouse; seven grandchildren, A.J. Curtis, Cole Curtis, Emily Truett, Austin Curtis, Rebekah Curtis, Jayden Curtis, and Gracie Curtis; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter Curtis, Hallie Curtis, Savanna Curtis, and Alexia Truett.

Harry Rhyne Connor, PhD abd, died September 22"d. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth M. Connor, three children, seven grandchildren, two sisters and one brother. Mr. Connor was an accomplished and

beloved educator in Greensboro for 60 years.

 A Memorial Service will be held at ll:00 am on November 23, 2019 at Long Shoals Wesleyan Church.

Jeana Slaughter, 77, passed away November 13, 2019.

Visitation was from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. November 17, 2019 at Arrowood Baptist Church. A memorial service was on November 17, at 3 p.m. at Arrowood Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
