Hugh Leonard Randall Jr., 71, passed away July 11, 2019.

A memorial service for Hugh will be held at 3 p.m. July 17, 2019 Carpenter Porter Funeral and Cremations. His family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 prior to his service at the funeral home.

 Sharon Chandler Lanning

Sharon Chandler Lanning, 57, of Hickory passed away July 12, 2019.

A memorial service to celebrate Sharon’s life was held July 14, 2019 at 3 p.m. at East Maiden Baptist Church in Maiden. The family received friends July 14, 2019 from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at East Maiden Baptist Church.

The Lanning family is in the care of Bennett Funeral Service of Conover, is serving the Lanning family.

Franklin Todd Jenkins

Franklin Todd Jenkins, age 60, of Salem Church Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Chapman officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Warlick Funeral Home. 

Todd was born October 2, 1958, in Knox County, Tennessee, to Frank Jenkins and the late Jane Bowman Jenkins.  He served in the United States Marines, and worked as a mechanic for American Airlines.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Hester Jenkins of the home; a son, Thomas A. Huss of the home; a daughter, Emily Huss of the home; his father, Frank Jenkins, and wife Brenda, of Knoxville, TN; a brother, Tom Jenkins, and Teresa Jenkins, of Murrells Inlet, SC; a sister, Tracey Jenkins Whitt of Knoxville, TN; stepbrothers, Paul Mynatt, and wife Betsy, of Tamarac, FL, and Gene Mynatt of Knoxville, TN; stepsister, Patty McCrary of Pickens, MS; a granddaughter, Mae Bell; and was loved by many nieces and nephews.

Marcus Danny Canipe

Marcus Danny Canipe, age 66, of Brian Center in Gastonia, and formerly of Salem Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, July 12, 2019.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019, at the Philadelphia Lutheran Church Cemetery with Rev. Justin Driver officiating. 

Mr. Canipe was born June 23, 1953, in Gaston County, to the late George Marcus Canipe and Ethel Mae Reel Canipe.  He worked as an auto body repairman. 

He is survived by two aunts, Irene Frazier of Gastonia, and Helen Reel Rudisill of Bessemer City, and a number of cousins.

David Hubert Brown

David Hubert Brown, age 75, of the Gastonia Highway, Lincolnton died Friday, July 12, 2019.

His funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. Sarah Underwood and Rev. William Wease officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:45 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at Pisgah United Methodist Church.

Mr. Brown was born on December 17, 1943 and was the son of the late Wilson David Brown and Ann Canipe Brown.  He was retired from Bell South and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Revonda Brown of the home; one son Jeffrey Brown and wife, Lauren of Texas; one daughter, Angela Brown Warner and husband, Tim of Lincolnton; one brother, Jim Brown of Vale; three grandchildren, Coleman Warner, Cameron Warner and Madison Brown.
