Clayton Rudy Wedlund

Clayton Rudy Wedlund, age 83, of 1062 Mansion Drive in Lincolnton, died on Monday, December 23, 2019.

 A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Zach Franklin officiating. 

 Clayton was born October 19, 1936, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to the late Arline Noble Wedlund and Edna Marie Dutter Wedlund.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Smith Wedlund; daughter, Lisa Ward; sons, Jerome Cleveland, Raymond and Nina Cleveland, Steven Cleveland, and Randolph Cleveland; and brother, Bernard Wedlund. 

 He is survived by his children, Cindy Ingle (Joe) of Vale, Tami Young (Harold) of Lincolnton, Chris Hotchkiss (Terry) of Lincolnton, Colleen Heath of Iron Station, Bernadine Hartman (Darrell) of Fallston, Paul Ward of Lincolnton, Jimmy Johnson (Trish) of Lincolnton, Richard Cleveland (Linda) of Iron Station, Susan Cheney of Thaxton, MS, Diane Mooneyhan of Oxford, MS, Connie Myers (Gary) of Greenfield, IN; two sisters, Cleo Carpenter (Jerry) of Eau Claire, WI, and Vicki Kral of Alamosa, IA; brothers, Aldon Wedlund (Diane), Limon Wedlund, and Barry Wedlund, all of Eau Claire, WI; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 Larry Steve Craig

Larry Steve Craig, 73, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019.

Larry was born on September 16, 1946 in Cleveland County, NC a son of the late Thomas Craig and Louise Bessie Faulkenbury Craig.  He was the operator for the NCDMV License Plate Agency in Lincolnton.  Larry was a member of Anthony Grove Baptist Church in Crouse.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Wilson Craig.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Vicki Bumgarner Craig of the home; a son, Matthew Craig and wife Lauren of Lincolnton; a daughter, Leslie Thomas of Denver; a sister, Kay Craig Burgin of Lincolnton; mother-in-law Carolyn Bumgarner of Cherryville; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be from 1:30PM to 2:45PM on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Anthony Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday December 29, 2019 at Anthony Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Bean officiating.

Burial will follow at Gainsville Baptist Church Cemetery in Lincolnton.

 Darren Edward Ingle

On December 24, 2019, Darren left this life surrounded by his loving family and his girlfriend after a short battle with cancer.  Darren was born March 28, 1970, in Cleveland County.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dane and Geneva Miller and John and Geneva Ingle, all of Vale.

 His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Risen Church with Rev. Phil Goins officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at the church.  At other times, the family will be at the home of Edward and Dianne Ingle, 1813 Cameron Road in Lincolnton.

 Darren attended Lincolnton High School and was a member of the Westside Cruisers and co-owner of Ingle Properties, LLC.

 He is survived by his parents, Edward and Dianne Ingle, and a sister, Kimberly Ingle Colvard (Max); his children, Phillip Franklin (Macie), Jacquelyn Godfrey (Shane); the loves of his life, three grandbabies, Ryleigh Boggs, Mikayla Godfrey, and Wylie Franklin; and his girlfriend, Doreen Cook.

Ned Junior Bowman, 89, of Hickory passed away December 21, 2019.

 A service to celebrate Ned’s life will be held today at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Hickory. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory.  The family received friends on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at First Baptist Church.
