A service to celebrate Bud’s life will be held August 10, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Center United Methodist Church in Catawba. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends August 10, 2019 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at Center United Methodist Church.

Kathleen Jane Koehler Gibson, 73 of Eaker Rd., passed away August 5, 2019.

Reginald “Reggie” Dean Mull age 51 Maiden passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019 at his parent’s residence.

Born December 18, 1967 in Catawba County, he was the son of Darrell Dean and Rebecca Ruth McMurry Mull. Reggie worked at Black’s Tire in Hickory, NC.

Left to cherish his memory: Parents:  Darrell and Becky Mull of Maiden, Son:  Jacob Mull of the home, Step-Daughter: Samantha Wilkinson and husband, Daniel of Maiden, Brother: Shane Mull and wife, Sarah of Lincolnton, 3 Nephews: Isaac, Simon & Seth Mull of Lincolnton.

A memorial service will be held, Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Westside Baptist Church in Maiden with Rev. Bud Painter officiating.

Calene Frances Cogdell also known as Beals, age 62, of Stanley NC, passed away Thursday August 1, 2019 in her home.

She was born March 24, 1957 in Moore County NC. Calene was retired from home health which she loved and  was loved by all she came across. She enjoyed outdoors and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Cogdell and son, Wayne. Grandchildren Danielle and Madison Cogdell. Brothers Mark Beals, Gary Beals, Paul Beals and Sam Kaufman. Sisters Helen Link, Susan Woodley, and Barbara Beals.

A Celebration of Calene's life will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at her residence 7613 Roxboro Ln. Stanley NC 28164.

Robert Lee Broome, age 70 of Maiden passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019 at his residence. Born October 4, 1948 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Huey Lee and Mazell Helms Broome. Robert was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Lincolnton, NC. In addition to his parents, brother, Ricky Broome preceded him in death.
