 The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. today at Old St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Overlook Cemetery in Eden NC. The family will receive friends from 10 -11 a.m. today at the Church.

David Cleveland Ramsey, 81, of Stanley, passed away April 8, 2019.

Tony Garrison Korn, 68, of Newton passed away April 8, 2019.

A memorial service to celebrate Tony’s life will be held April 13, 2019 at 10 a.m. at North Newton Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends April 13, 2019 from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at North Newton Baptist Church.

 Roselda (Rose) Stevens

Roselda (Rose) Stevens, age 91, of Carillion Assisted Living in Lincolnton, and formerly of New Port Richey, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

 A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Pisgah United Methodist Church, 2582 Gastonia Highway in Lincolnton, Rev. Charles Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the of the church following the service.

 Mrs. Stevens was born December 8, 1927 in Cumberland, New Jersey to the late George and Elda Herbert. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B Stevens, Jr, two brothers and 1 sister. Mrs. Stevens worked in retail and retied while living in Florida.

 Survivors include two sons, Charles B Steven, III and wife Pat of Lincolnton and Bryon Stevens and wife Peg of Meridian, Idaho, three granddaughters and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Verna Bradway and husband Benny, and Darlin Riggin and husband Dick and Morris Herbert.

 Garrett Logan Gray

Garrett Logan Gray, age 26, of Sarah Drive in Denver, died on Monday, April 8, 2019.

 A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Pursuit Church, where he attended church.  Pastor Jordan Green will officiate.

Garrett was born July 14, 1992, in Lincoln County, to Michele Wright Fincham.  He worked at Kip Corporation in Charlotte.  Garrett grew up with a love of dirt bike racing and loved playing the guitar and enjoyed listening to all types of music.

 He is survived by his mother and father, Michele and Jeffrey Fincham of Denver; a sister, Mallory Bolen of Denver; grandparents, Leonard and Ginger Matti of Virginia Beach, VA, and Scott and Lorie Thomas of Stanley; and the love of his life, Lynsey Yarbrough and her daughter, Skylar.

The family requests no flowers, but instead, donations be made to Pursuit Church Building Fund, 3618 NC 16 Business, Denver, NC  28037.

Mr. Marion Eugene “Gene” Paris

Mr. Marion Eugene “Gene” Paris, age 80, of Will Kiser Road in Crouse, died on Monday. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019, in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will greet friends graveside following the service.

Mr. Paris was born April 19, 1938, in Gaston County, to the late James Marion “J.M.” Paris and Nettie Miller Paris.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Zona Barton Paris.  He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and then later owned and operated Paris Tire. 

He is survived by a son, Marion “Marty” Paris (Kristi) of Lincolnton; a daughter, Carma Paris-Denny (Gary) of Greenville, SC; a brother, Jim Paris (Frances Ann) of Crouse; two stepsons; and two stepdaughters. 

Memorials may be made to the Gaston County Sheriff’s Department, 425 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Gastonia, NC  28052.

David “Scott” Rudisill

David “Scott” Rudisill, age 48, of Ward Road in Vale, died on Sunday, April 7, 2019.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phil Goins officiiating.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Scott was born November 10, 1970, in Lincoln County, to Pete and Cathy Warlick Rudisill.  He worked in construction.

He is survived by two sons, Kurtis Rudisill (Katie) of Granite Falls, and Kasey Rudisill of the home; his parents, Pete and Cathy Warlick Rudisill of Vale; a sister, Angie Bradley (Hank) of Vale; one grandchild, Bradley Rudisill; and two nephews, Matthew and Jacob Bradley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Autism Society of NC, 172 Wilson Lake Road, Mooresville, NC  28117.

Beth Leota Norton McDonald

Beth Leota Norton McDonald, age 79, of Iron Station, died on Monday, April 8, 2019. 

Beth was born March 29, 1940, in Portland, Oregon, to the late Boyd and Hazel Norton.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Allan Christian McDonald; and a brother, Larry Norton.  

She is survived by two sons, Chris McDonald (Cindy) of Wilmington, and Kenneth McDonald (Melinda) of Newton; three daughters, Tammy Hogan (Kevin) of New Bern, Amy Sharpe (Jeremy) of Denver, and Wendy McBryde (Jay) of Iron Station; a sister, Penne Bilyeu of Oregon; thirteen grandchildren, Teresa Beth McDonald, Valarie McDonald, Cameron McDonald, Cody McDonald, Cayman McDonald, April Bain, Heidi Olson, Shane Gossett, Amy Cotellese, Michael Martinez, Joshua Martinez, Hunter Sharpe, and Allan McBryde; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A Celebration of Life service is being planned for a later date.
