A Stanley man has been arrested in connection with a number of unauthorized purchases he allegedly made on a company credit account.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office detective Dan Snellings arrested David Todd Martin, 47, of Lucia-Riverbend Road, on Dec. 21 on 27 felony counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.
Martin is accused of making purchases on the credit account of McHansa Trucking Company of Mount Holly at an auto parts store in Denver between April 12, 2017 and Dec. 7.
The unauthorized purchases were discovered by the trucking company during an audit of the company’s books and with the assistance of the auto parts store that identified the suspect.
Martin was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $135,000 secured bond. He will have a first appearance in Lincoln County District Court on Dec. 27.
