According to a press release from the Department of Transportation, Reepsville Road will close at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 22 in order to replace the bridge over Tanyard Creek. The closure will be in effect until Sept. 2020.

A detour will be posted from Reepsville Road via Cansler Road and June Bug Road, returning to Reepsville Road.

Seven bridges in Lincoln and Cleveland Counties are slated to be replaced under an $8.5 million contract with R.E. Burns and Sons Co. of Statesville.

The other bridges in Lincoln County that are scheduled to be replaced are Laboratory Road over Indian Creek, Southside Road over the South Fork River, Howard’s Creek Mill/Westwind over Howard’s Creek and Alf Hoover Road over Howard’s Creek.
