A Lincolnton man was sentenced in Lincoln County Superior Court to a lengthy prison sentence after accepting a plea agreement in connection with crimes that occurred in 2016 and 2017.
Michael Odell Fair, 32, who lists his address as homeless in Lincolnton, was sentenced to a minimum 95 months to a maximum 126 months in the North Carolina prison system.
On Jan. 23, Fair entered a guilty plea to two counts of malicious conduct by a prisoner that occurred in June 2017. Then, on Jan. 25, Fair entered a guilty plea for the September 2016 incident of one count of assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill. In that incident on Sept. 4, 2016, Fair was accused of stabbing a Lincolnton man in the face with a large knife during a fight that occurred on Atlantic Lane in Lincolnton.
