Piecemakers Quilt Guild meets 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday each month at the Lincolnton Senior Center located at 612 Center Drive in Lincolnton. The second Tuesday of the month Magnolia Stitchers meet to do hand applique. The third Tuesday is Quilts on Wheels and is where they sew together to make donation quilts. Free instructional classes are scheduled throughout the year. Beginners and all skill levels welcome.

Lincoln County Master Gardener volunteers 2023 plant sale going now. This year there will be blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, elderberry, figs, muscadines, strawberry, and even asparagus plants. Plants will arrive in late March. Payment will be accepted at 115 West Main Street, Lincolnton by check or cash. Free vaccine/microchip clinic for Lincoln County cats and dogs on Saturday, March 4 at Denver Wesleyan Church at 2381 North NC-16 Business in Denver from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Must be a Lincoln County resident. First come/first served so be prepared to wait in line in your car. Cats in crates and dogs on leashes. Microchip limit 2 per household while supplies last.

Roseland Baptist Church at 1172 Rosehill Drive in Lincolnton, will be host to a “free” Community Meal on March 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ham and cheese sandwiches with chips, dessert and drink. It will be dine-in or drive-thru option.

East Lincoln Community Garden Club welcomes guests and new members to their monthly meeting on Monday, March 13 at 9:30 a.m. at Webbs Chapel United Methodist Church, Denver. Coffee and refreshments will be available. Program Guest speakers will be Denver residents Kira and John Crisco who have founded OWL, Outdoor Wellness League, a non-profit dedicated to preserving our habitat for a healthier humanity.
