Most of the annual Lincoln County Fourth of July parades and festivities will be held this year.

The annual Westport Independence Day Parade will be held on Saturday it begins at 9 a.m. at The Episcopal Church of St. Peter by-the-Lake located at 8433 Fairfield Forest Road in Denver and ends by 11 a.m. at Lakeview Drive.

The annual Lincolnton Fourth of July celebration kicks off at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday with the parade down East Main Street to Lincolnton High School. This year, there will be a salute to essential workers - the healthcare workers, teachers, government employees, and others - that helped us get through 2020. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. The fireworks show can be viewed from the bleachers at the Lincolnton High School Stadium and streamed live on the city website and LincolntonLIVE.com. There will not be a “Kidz Zone” due to Covid restrictions.

The annual Crouse Fourth of July parade was cancelled.  According to a press release sent by Mona Ramsey, two of the main organizers are dealing with unforeseen conflicts that will keep them from participating in the parade planning and organization this year.
