A local coffee shop is extended the community aspect of sipping a cup of coffee with company to include “cruising.” Grounded Coffeehouse, a coffee shop that’s been open in Boger City since October 2018, was the dream of Brytni Brooks. Her husband, Bryson, operates a towing company in Lincolnton.

“We got the towing company going and this building came up for lease,” Bryson Brooks said. “We signed the lease and within two weeks we opened the doors.”

Working as a barista was Brytni Brook’s first job. 

As an extension of their coffee shop, the Brooks sponsor cruise-in car shows several times a month. Because Brytni own a Jeep, they joined a local jeep club and many of the vehicles that frequent the cruise-ins are Jeeps. They have a Jeep only event in August. The couple also do a lot of fundraisers for local causes, many of them associated with veterans. the platform we have here as a business and the parking lot to give back to the community.” 

Because the Brooks are associated with the local Jeep community, Jeep owners attend their events in mass.

“I was always against Jeeps, but Brytni wanted one,” Brooks said. “The Jeep has brought us so many friends. It’s a good community of people. Every one of them are like family. We’re using
