Outdoor Pirate Ship Escape Room will be at the West Lincoln branch on Saturday, July 23. This is a drop-in event where you can test 'yer wits on the Flying Dutchman's ghost pirate ship escape room. Brought to you by Asheville Plays, this 10-minute mobile escape room is perfect for first time and expert escape players alike. Six “crew members” enter the ship and work together solving clues and riddles to escape the fate of sailing the eternal seas. While other event participants wait 'on deck' they may play additional pirate themed games and activities outside the ship. Asheville Plays was created by Arica Haro and Hans Banzer in 2012 and the company has been bringing pirate voyages all over the US since 2017.

The Green Bean Players Theater will present “The Lighthouse Keeper's Daughter” on Tuesday, July 26 at the Citizen’s Center. Join Toby, the son of a fisherman as he sets out to save a young woman with the help of a few new friends that live among the coastal waters.

Crafts include wreaths, spa night, bullet journaling, sunglasses, and art from trash.

This is just the beginning of the programming the Lincoln County Public Library is offering this summer. All of the events and programs are free to attend. Many require pre-registration. Visit mylincolnlibrary.org or call 704-735-8044 to register.
