LINCOLNTON - Gallery 27 is proud to present, “The Whimsical World of Robert Webb.” Webb’s passion working with and educating children directly correlates with this collection of pen and wash illustrations. Audiences of all ages, especially the child at heart, will be entertained by Webb’s creative imagination and delightful sense of humor. Webb hopes you are able to reconnect with your inner child by the fantastical world of giants named Henry, buses that house cities, and tree house worlds.

Robert Webb is a self-taught artist.  His interest in art was kickstarted early in his childhood by an elementary school art teacher in Rock Hill.  Webb served in the United States Navy immediately following high school.  Afterwards, he started his own business as an athletic consultant for cheerleading teams across the nation.  Webb’s currently working at Cherryville High School as the school’s remediation specialist.  He has pursued and practiced in many mediums over the past 30 years.  His favorite being line and wash, he also enjoys woodworking, photography and mixed media.  Webb recently was awarded a Gold Star Award from The Book Designer for the book cover art of A Mark on my Soul by author Jordan Greene.

Gallery 27 is hosting an opening reception for “The Whimsical World of Robert Webb” on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 7-9 p.m.  Gallery 27 is located at 808 West Highway 27 in Lincolnton. For more information, telephone (704) 240-9060.
