In the good old days, cruising was allowed in downtown Lincolnton and on Saturday, those days return for the annual Cruisin’ for a Cause. This event brings together automobile enthusiasts with all proceeds for the cruise in to benefit two local organizations. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to support the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center and Amy’s House.
“The impact of not being able to fundraise during the pandemic and both of these agencies took a very hard hit,” Child Advocacy Center Director Sherry Reinhardt said. “I invite you to come on out and cruise like we used to keep hope and action for the victims of abuse in Lincoln County.”
There will be food available from downtown restaurants and BrickTree Brewing Co. is going to sell beer, with a portion of the beer proceeds going back to the two nonprofits. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, tickets are $1 each, $5 for arm length or $20 length of car.
Cruisin’ for a Cause will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18 and the cost to cruise downtown from 5-9 p.m. $5 and $15 to cruise and park the night of the event.
