Mrs. Cody Joshua Tench

Alysha Marie McCrary and Cody Joshua Tench were united in marriage Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Terrell Baptist Church. Dr. Chris Griggs officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Jean Jenkins McCrary of Sherrills Ford. Her grandparents are Marie and the late Robert Jenkins and Sandra and the late Charles McCrary. She also has a brother, Ensign P. Garrett McCrary, U.S. Navy. Alysha is a 2010 graduate of Western Carolina University and employed with Lincoln County Schools as a teacher.

The groom is the son of Timothy and Rhonda Tench of Stanley. His grandparents are Peggy Ledford and David and Carol Tench. Great-grandmother is Hazelene Tench. Cody is a 2011 graduate of Gaston College, a firefighter with East Lincoln Fire Department and is employed with Roddi Long Grading.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Gentleman of Honor was P. Garrett McCrary, Ensign USN, brother of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Wease, Danielle James, and Rebecca Duggan.

Best Lady was the sister of the groom, Kelly A. Tench. Groomsmen were John McGinnis, Joseph Fletcher, and Brandon McAlpine.

Flower girls were Olivia Byrd and Kassidy Jenkins. Music was performed by Tamara Morgan, Jessi McGinnis and Ian McGrath. Nicolette and Peyton Huneycutt served as Register Attendants. The wedding was directed by Tricia Harris.

A reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at Denver Baptist Church.

The couple had a wedding shower, hosted by family and friends and a pantry shower hosted by Beth Jenkins-Horsley.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico the couple resides in Lincolnton.
