70th Anniversary

Charles Harry Huss and Ruth Reep Huss of Crouse celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Nov. 2, 2014 with a luncheon in the Bethphage Family Life Center. The luncheon was hosted by their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Attending were family members and church friends. Ruth and Harry were married on Nov. 4, 1944 in York, SC. They have two children, Wanda (Charles) Lutz of Lincolnton, and Dr. Fenwick Huss of New York City; two grandchildren, Krista Lutz of Cary and Bryan (Jennifer) Lutz of Lincolnton; and four great-grandchildren, Elyssa and Wyatt Harris of Cary, and Joseph and Olivia Lutz of Lincolnton. Harry retired as assistant superintendent of the Gaston County Schools. He served as chairman of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners. Ruth retired as the owner of a neighborhood convenience store. Both remain active and faithful members of their church, Bethphage Lutheran.
