The West Lincoln wrestling team was in action on Tuesday night at West Lincoln. They defeated Kings Mountain 67-6.
Head Coach, Butch Ross was pleased with their performance.
“The boys wrestled real well. Kings Mountain is a real good team and a well-coached team. They will be a tough opponent on Saturday.”
With this win, West Lincoln moves to 12-0 on the season, as well as 3 tournament wins. Currently, West Lincoln is ranked 2nd in the 2A classification in North Carolina by Mat News, a
newsletter dedicated to North Carolina High School Wrestling.
Coach Ross and his wrestlers will host the West Lincoln Duals beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the high school.
Kings Mountain, Tuscola, Shelby, St. Stephens, Southwest Guilford, and Lincolnton will be the other teams participating. There will also be a Junior Varsity tournament at West Lincoln Middle School during that time.
