North Lincoln Optimist Club recently founded LTN Staff Report December 13, 2002 - Lincoln County now has a new Optimist Club to help make a difference in the lives of children as well as our community. The North Lincoln Optimist Club was founded on November 5, 2002. Optimist International President, William Teague, flew in to charter this club. The newly elected Executive Board are President, Scott Weaver; Vice-president, Jason Harpe; Vice-president, Mary Clark; Treasurer, Michelle Hefner; and Secretary, Wendy Ard-Church. This club will be associated with the new North Lincoln High School and will use their colors and their mascot, the Knights. They will be participating in the Dixie Youth Baseball League in the spring, the Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading League in the fall as well as other sports throughout the year. Their monthly meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of every month.
