East Lincoln Optimist football sign-ups

The East Lincoln Optimists will hold sign-ups for football on the following dates: June 24, 26, July 8 and 10 from 6-8 p.m. and June 28 and July 12 from 9-noon.  Boys in grades three through six are eligible to participate. The cost is $75. Sign-ups will be held at the clubhouse on Optimist Club road.

 

North Lincoln Optimist football sign ups

The North Lincoln Optimist Club will be having sign ups for Pop Warner football June 23rd through July 7th.

It will be open for all children who are 7 years old to 14 years old.

The registration fee is only $40 for one child or $35 per child if you have more than one child playing.

Home games will be played at the new North Lincoln High School. For more information please call the North Lincoln Optimist Club at 704-748-2360.

 

North Lincoln Soccer

The tryouts for the North Lincoln High School Soccer team will be July 28, 29 and 30 from 9 a.m. - noon at East Lincoln Middle School. Students must have a current physical, and shin guards to attend.

There will also be two training days that North Lincoln men and women are welcome to attend, these dates are July 2, July 16 from 9 a.m. -11 a.m. Each student must have a release form signed to attend, these are available at Pumpkin Center Middle or by contacting Preston Springer at 704-528-8274.

 

Nominations for the Hall of Fame

The Lincoln County Sports Hall of Fame is again seeking nominations for inductees. Qualifications for Hall of Fame candidates include; Resident or former resident of Lincoln County for at least 4 years, Participant (player, coach, media representative, booster, etc.), Of good character and reputation, 35 years of age or deceased, having made contributions recognized as enhancing sports activities.Please submit nominations to be post marked no later than August 1, 2003 to Lincoln County Sports Hall of Fame, c/o Erma Deen Hoyle, PO Box 25, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
