Bethea brothers do well in golf tournaments
Nine-year-old Kendall Bethea and his brother, 13-year-old Kenny Bethea Jr., competed in a junior golf tournament held by the Western Piedmont Junior Golf
Association at Woodbridge Country Club in Kings Mountain, June 3.
Kendall had five birdies on nine holes to shoot a score of 32, 4 under. He won the 11 and under division by nine strokes.
Kenny, finished tied for 2nd in the 12-13 age division with a final score of 37 for his nine hole event.
They are both scheduled to compete at NorthStone Country Club in Huntersville on June 10.
Robinson gets first hole-in-one
Eric Robinson got his first hole-in-one on May 25 at the Lincolnton Country Club. He used an 8 iron on the 17th hole to hit 145 yards. The hole-in-one was
witnessed by Larry McNeilly, Steve McCurry, and Richard Cleveland.
