WLMS wrestlers did well at state championships. Feb. 15, 2002 - The West Lincoln Middle School wrestlers competed in the N.C. Junior High State Championships at Gardner Webb University this past weekend. Individual place winners were: Elementary Division: Ethan Beck first, Tyler Smith first, Taylor Barber first, Eric Cooke second, Shane Heafner second, Lee Walker third, Travis Avery third. Six grade: Jesse Navey first, Kevin Martin second, Shane Reedy third, Logan Heafner fourth. Seventh grade: Daniel Smith third, Tyler Carpenter third, Logan Scronce fourth. Eighth grade: Matt Avery third, Tyler Wilfong third, Jamie Goodman third, Kenny Reed fourth.
