West wrestlers beat Shelby

West Lincoln defeated Shelby, 64-15 in their game on Friday.

Winner for West were (103 weight class wrestler) Jeremy Pearson with a pin; 112 Daniel Scronce, pin; 119 Steele Barber by forfeit; 125 Josh Hullette, pin; 130 Chris Godfrey, pin; 135 Brent Gates, pin; 140 Cory Norman, pin; 145 Eric Steele, 12-0 major decision; 152 Daniel Soto, pin; 171 Allen Fredell, pin; 189 Jacob Stephens, pin.

West now has a record of 21-7, and 3-1 conference record. Their next match will be at Home, Friday at 6 p.m.

 

LMS-WLMS basketball splits

The Lincolnton Middle School basketball team defeated West Lincoln Middle 42-22, in their recent game.

Scorers for LMS were Zack Gibson 13, Aaron Byrd 8, Derek Butley 6, Pettie Mc. 5, Phil Robinson 4, Shane Faus 2, Jessy Morton 2, Alex Eagle 1, Michael Segura 1.

Scorers for WLMS were Gene Arp 11, Adam Owens 6, Daryll Friday 2, Jonathan Thomas 2, Kenny Reed 1.

In the girl’s game, the Lady Wildcats were defeated Thursday by West Lincoln 25-19.

Leading scorers for Lincolnton were Brittany Jones 8, Amanda Barnhardt 4, Brittany Ebert 2, Brittany Cash 2, Kyna Barnes 2, and Jessie Kline 1.

Excellent plays came from Charlotte Clark, Ashley Broadway, and Ingrid Bonilla.

Leading scorers for West were Knight 7, Davis 5, Hoover 4, Murtagh 2, Watts 2, and Keziah 2.
