Methodist cookbook available

From staff reports

December 20, 2002 - First United Methodist Church will publish its second cookbook, “A Feast of Tradition.”

The first publication was completed about 10 years ago.

“We’ve had so many requests, everyone asked for another publication,” said Pat Lawing with the cookbook committee.

Recipes have been submitted by the women of the church and include everything from appetizers to desserts. Church history is also listed in the publication. About 80 recipes have been added to the original publication. Lawing says it’s been a success from the start.

“It has been a real popular book around Lincolnton.”

The 300-page, laminated cookbook will be available the week of Jan.6. Cost is $20.

Due to power outages caused by the ice storm, the books will not be available in time for Christmas as originally planned.

Certificates will be issued to anyone who has already placed orders or who would like to give the books as gifts.

For more information or to place orders, call Pat Lawing at 704-735-2449.
