Couple’s ‘clinic’ keeps hope alive

Waiting for their turn

July 12, 2002 - Pat and Kevin Hull jokingly refer to their spare bedroom as “the clinic,” though the medical equipment in the room is used for a serious purpose — kidney dialysis..

Kevin and Pat Hull talk about the dialysis process they perform in their "clinic" in the spare bedroom of their Denver home. The couple spends approximately 18 hours a week completing the task that helps Kevin live.

Vacation Bible School gets buggy

July 19 , 2002 - Has Vacation Bible School become a Lincoln County tradition?

Many families and church members would shout a resounding YES!.

Julie Ellis broke out the Su-per Soaker Wednesday night at Vacation Bible School at Covenant Bible Church.  Playing games and getting wet was part of the fun during the week.

Seth Fox drenches his friend, Ty Long during a game called Sponge or Plunge. The kids got creative while keeping cool Wednesday night with temperatures topping 95 degrees.

Lincolnton poet gets published

July 19, 2002 - Lincolnton poet Angela Friday’s work has been published in “Passages in Time,” a collection of verse.

Friday’s poem “Go Ahead and Show Love” appears on page 9 of the 20-page book. The book was published by JMW Publishing in Missouri and has been distributed to college libraries.
