Wendy Galle is the new Mrs. North Carolina.

Wendy Galle of Sherrills Ford was crowned Mrs. North Carolina Saturday at the Charlotte pageant. She will go on to compete in the Mrs.
America Pageant in Honolulu.

Asthma Splashout offers family fun and education

YMCA.
The 2002 Asthma Splashout will be held May 11. Organizers hope to educate the public, and to have fun.

April 24, 2002 - Charles F. Mize of Lincolnton and Jean Grayson of Charlotte carried the torch leading the parade of athletes and artists
at the opening of the 2002 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Senior Games at Reedy Creek Park April 20. Residents of Lincoln and Gaston counties also participate in the competition, running from April 22-May 7.

And piano students in the area will get special treatment for the performance — free admission.
