January 17, 2003 - Raquel, Alexis and Rebekah Cespedes visit their grandparents twice a week — all eight of them.
The children visit Lincoln Nursing Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays with their mother, Iliana Gonzalez. They’ve been making the visits for more
than a year.

alternative to sitting at home - Winter Fun Day. Students enjoyed making arts and crafts, eating lunch, and playing games. Stephanie Spittle, 7, painted a snowman clock. 4-H often offers activities for

January 31, 2003 - The Lions Clubs for the Lions Club International Recycle for Sight & Hearing
Project are collecting eye glasses.
Throughout the year, Lincoln and Gaston County Lions Clubs are collecting useable eyeglasses and hearing aides. However, during the summer and fall season,
they are making a concerted effort to educate the general public, medical community, church, and school groups about their need.
