Lincoln Arts Council hosts photo contest

January 17, 2003 - The Lincoln Arts Council 2002 Amateur Photography Competition had more than 50 entries.
Juror for the competition was Jenny Walling, photographer for the Lincoln Times-News.
The show opened Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Cochrane and Carolina Mills Galleries of the Lincoln Cultural Center. Winners received cash awards at 3.
And the winners are:
Best of Show — Pam Peacock, “Elyslum”
Abstract/Special Effect/Miscellaneous
First Place — Robin Johnson, “Hope”
Second Place — Angela Laws, “Ghost Town”
Third Place — Mark Smith, “Frozen Mercury”
Honorable Mention — Laura P. Shinn, “Ceilings at Galleries Lafayette, Paris, France” and Larry Parsons, “Cracked Up”
Animal Life/People
First Place — Pam Peacock, “Pretty in Pink”
Second Place — Pam Peacokc, “Sojourn”
