Just the facts…
Multiple sclerosis usually strikes adults in the prime of life — between the ages of 20 and 50. It is a chronic disease of the central nervous system affecting the brain and spinal cord.
One new case of MS is diagnosed every hour.
There are more than a third of a million of Americans living with MS.
About the walk…
Walks will be held in Gaston County and Lincoln County April 13 at 9 a.m. as well at Davidson College in Lake Norman and in Shelby on April 6.
Those who cannot walk are welcome to volunteer or make contributions.
The MS Walk includes rest stops, medical support stations, transportation for tired walkers, celebration at the finish line and a chance to win prizes — and, to contribute to finding a
cure.
