Scholarships available

Jan. 4, 2002 - Applications are now available for the George A. Stoudemire Memorial Scholarship.
Stoudemire was a former Lincoln County Agricultural Extension Chairman and a highly regarded member of the community for almost 30 years.
Scholarships are awarded annually to Lincoln County residents who plan to pursue a degree at a North Carolina accredited college, university, community college
or technical institute. Priority will be given to individuals pursuing a degree related to agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer sciences, 4-H and youth, or community and rural development.
Students entering college in 2002 or those already enrolled may apply.
Applications for the George A. Stoudemire Memorial Scholarship are available from high school guidance counselors, selected teachers and from the North
Carolina Cooperative Extension Service in Lincoln County.
The Extension Service is located in the first floor of the Citizens Center in Lincolnton.
Completed applications must be returned to the Extension Service by the close of business Jan. 31, 2002.
