Gary Moore
W. Gary Moore, 59, of 226 Lariet Drive, died Dec. 21, 2003. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian
Church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 tonight at Carpenters Funeral Home.
Born in Lincoln County, he attended Ironton Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Lincoln Masonic Lodge 137 AF & AM and
the Scottish Rites Bodies.
Survivors include his wife, Meredith Sigmon Moore of the home; one son, Greg Moore of Lincolnton; one daughter, Lisa Jackson of
Lincolnton; one brother, John Moore of Lincolnton; two sisters, Barbara McConnell of Lincolnton and Ann Dellinger of Crouse and four grandchildren, Tyler Jackson, Jared Moore, Regan Moore and Anna Marie Jackson.

James Harvey York Jr., 51, of 866 Ram Lane, died Dec. 14, 2003.

CHERRYVILLE — Garland Pinkney Pruett, 82, of Carolina Care, formerly of 130 Hallman St., died Dec. 21, 2003. Funeral services will
be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial will follow with full Military Honors in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at
Carpenters Funeral Home.
Born in Cherryville, he was retired from Carolina Freight Carriers and a WWII U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include one son, Steve Pruett; one daughter, Rachel Pruett of Shelby; one sister, Bertha Newton of Cherryville; four
grandchildren, Steven Pruett II, Kevin Pruett, Derek Pruett and Julie Brittain and two great-grandchildren.

Born in Lincoln County, she worked for Hugger Manufacturing.
Survivors include her husaband, Robert Thompson of the home; two sons, Ronnie Thompson of Lincolnton and Johnny Thompson of Maiden;
one daughter, Donna Thompson of the home; one brother, Lewis Lester of Lincolnton; four sisters, Mae Bingham and Joyce Lingerfelt both of Lincolnton, Sue Whisnant of Hickory and Evelyn Camidge of Oak Island and
three grandchildren.

a.m. Wednesday at Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenters Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Born in Cleveland County, she was retired from beautician and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Myra Sellars of Dallas and Debra Wallace of Mt. Holly; three grandchildren, Greg Sellars, Alan
Sellars and Heather Wallace and three great-grandchildren.

Bonnie Kate Stallings Peeler, 93, of Cardinal Care, formerly of Carolina Mill Circle, died Dec. 22, 2003. Funeral services will be
at noon Friday at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon Friday at the church.
Born in Catawba County, she was retired from Carolina Mill.
Survivors include three sons, Bob Peeler of Spartanburg, SC, Tommy Peeler of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Tony Peeler of Gastonia; two
daughters, Virginia Faircloth of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Shirley Chapman of Pompano Beach, Fla.; one sister, Jessie Miller of Pompano Beach, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.
