KANSAS — Anna L. Bolen, 86, of Leavenworth, died Dec. 10, 2003. A Mass of Christian burial was at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph
Catholic Church, where she was a member. Burial followed in the Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Born in Leavenworth, Kan., she was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, John Bolen of Bend, Ore. and Richard Bolen of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Michael Bolen, Angela
Wilson and Douglas Bolen and two great-grandchildren.

She was born in Catawba County.

Frank Griffith
FLORIDA — Frank E. Griffith, 80, died Dec. 12, 2003.
Born in Ivaton, W. Va., he was retired from HP Hoods and Sons as a mechanical engineer and WWII U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Lilliam Griffith of Fla.; one daughter, Linda Lawson of Gastonia; one brother, Rome Griffith of W. Va.;
three sisters, Mary Lee Wagnor of Ohio, Ruth LaBlanc of Fla. and Minnie Palmer of W. Va.; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

BESSEMER CITY — James “Jim” Daniel Neal, 81, of 137 Tryon School Loop Road, died Dec. 15, 2003. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m.
today at Hephzibah Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born in Gaston County, he was a retired service manager from Kiser Chevrolet.

Born in Cleveland County, she was retired from Cochran Furniture and a member of Gospel Way Baptist Church.

She was retired from Lincoln County Schools as a teacher and was a Sunday School teacher.
