Neal Mundy
CATAWBA — Carlton O’Neal “Neal” Mundy, 79, of 6730 Long Island Road, died Nov. 24, 2003. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Center United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Born in Catawba County, he was a charter member of the United Methodist Men, a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Carolina Mills.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey T. Mundy of the home; one daughter, Karen Houston of Catawba; two grandsons, Michael Houston and
Dustin Houston; one sister, Lola Mundy of Catawba and one foster daughter, Alisa Beaver of Rock Hill, SC.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Fund or Center United Methodist Church, 4945 Sherrills Ford Road, Catawba, NC 28609.

VALE — William “Wilford” Leonhardt, 80, of 8384 Macedonia Church Road, died Nov. 24, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today
at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Born in Cleveland County, he was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church and a retired mechanic from L&L Garage.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Leonhardt and two sisters, Pauline Willis of Lawndale and Willie Mae Hartman of Hickory.
Billy Brown
VIRGINIA — Billy Cecil Brown, 65, of Sterling, Va., died Nov. 17, 2003. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Nov. 20 at Adams-Green
Funeral Home. Interment followed in Hotts Chapel Cemetery.
He was born in Lincoln County.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Anne Brill of the home; three children, Terry Roberson, Teena Mackey and Tim Brown all of North
Carolina and three step-children, Bud Brill of Ashburn, Va., Mitchell Brill and Connie Ronca both of Winchester, Va.
Memorials may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, 7203 Poplar St., Annandale, Va. 22003.
Mary Spake
Mary Frances Huffstetler Spake, 79, of Cardinal Health Care, died Nov. 25, 2003. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Lincoln
Avenue Baptist Church, where she was member. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 p.m. today at the church.
Born in Lincoln County, she was retired from Carolina Mills.
Survivors include one son, Rick Spake of Lincolnton; three daughters, Brenda Dellinger, Trudy Hoffman and Sue Ann Black all of
Lincolnton; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
