Margaret Fredell

Margaret Helen Cloninger Fredell, 80, of 1410 East Gaston St., died Oct. 27, 2003. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at Riverview Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Lincoln County.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Sease of Lincolnton; one granddaughter, Debbie Keever of Lincolnton and two sisters, Nancy Cloninger and Linda Shrum both of Lincolnton.

 

Charles Cline

HICKORY — Charles Lee Cline, 75, died Oct. 25, 2003. A celebration of life service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Catawba Funeral & Cremations. Interment followed in Catawba Memorial Park.

He was retired from Broyhill Furniture.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Parker Cline of the home; one son, Mike Cline of Vale; one daughter, Linda London of Claremont; seven grandchildren, David Cline, Karen Cline, Vickie Cline, Leslie Allen, Windy Pruitt, Daisha Cline and Dylan Cline; nine great-grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters, Hester Shull, Geneva Detter, Edna Ramsey, Eva Young, Gene Bess, Hoyle Cline Jr., Joyce Lingerfelt, Joe Cline, and Nancy McCaslin.

 

Annie Hester

HIGH SHOALS — Annie Lee Clanton Hester, 81, of 408 N. Lincoln St., died Oct. 27, 2003. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Landers Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. today at the church.

Born in Lincoln County, she was retired from Cochrane Furniture as a finisher.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Hester of the home; one son, Timothy Hester of Lincolnton; one daughter, Gail Boston of High Shoals; one brother, Jack Clanton of Barto, Fla.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 107 N. Cedar St., Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Helen Carpenter

DALLAS — Helen T. Carpenter, 80, of 3612 Dallas-Cherryville Hwy., died Oct. 28, 2003. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Puett United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 tonight at the Fellowship Hall of Puett United Methodist Church.

Born in Gaston County, she was the owner of Carpenters Food Mart and a partner in Dean Carpenter Real Estate.

Survivors include her husband, A.D. Carpenter of the home; one son, J. Dean Carpenter of Dallas; five grandchildren, Jackie McCarter, Sam McCarter, Anna McCarter, Gene McCarter and Adrian Carpenter; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Evelyn Cullen of Coldhester, Conn.

Memorials may be made to Puett United Methodist Church, 3009 Puett’s Chapel Road, Dallas, NC 28034.

Wayne Ledford

Robert “Wayne” Ledford, 33, of 3161 Laboratory Road, died Oct. 27, 2003. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bethphage Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born in Cleveland County, he was employed in the construction business.

Survivors include one son, Robert Ledford, II of Georgia; one daughter, Katelyn Martin of Georgia; mother and step-father, Linda and Mike Eaker of Cherryville; father, Clyde Ledford of Lincolnton; paternal grandmother, Fannie Ledford of Lincolnton; one sister, Dana Roark of Mt. City, Tenn. and one half-sister, Amanda Brannock of Morganton.

Hulick Shronce

IRON STATION — Hulick Cosby Shronce, 87, of 6680 Shronce Road, died Oct. 28, 2003. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Beth Haven Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Born in Lincoln County, he was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Eurver Shronce of the home; six sons, Melvin Shronce, Ben Shronce, Floyd Shronce and Boyce Shronce all of Iron Station, John Haney of Sherrills Ford and Dale Shronce of Cherryville; three daughters, Joyce Reel, Jan Hinkle and Jenny Rhodes all of Iron Station; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

KING MOUNTAIN — Lillie Ruth Kilgore Evans, 80, of 516 Kilgore Road, died Oct. 25, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Enloe Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

 

H. Cunningham

SHELBY — Hazeleen Osborne Cunningham, 53, of 1578 Timber Lake Drive, died Oct. 24, 2003. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Webb Memorial Lawns. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3 p.m. Saturday at Enloe Mortuary.

 

Hazeleen Cable

VALE — Hazaleen Mitchem Cable, 80, of 295 Howard Lingerfelt Road, died Oct. 27, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hebron United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Lincoln County, she was a member of Eastern Star and Republican Women.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Cable and Ted Cable both of Vale, two daughters, Terri Kirby of Hickory and Tonda Greene of Des Moines, Iowa, one brother, Hubert Mitchem of Vale, nine grandchildren, Michelle Sain, Mike Cable, Dawn Richard, Trent Cable, Todd Rudisill, Thad Cable, Natalie Cable, Shon Greene and Wade Greene and six great-grandchildren.
