DENVER Dessie Mae Herron King, 83, of Denver, died Sept. 28, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Thompson Memorial
Evangelical Methodist Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow at Webbs Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Born in Swain County, she was retired from Templon Mills as a winder.
Survivors include one son, Charles King of Denver; five daughters, Loletta Marlow of Troutman, Marie Hager, Sue Pulley, Hilda Gaines
all of Denver and Dolly Smith of China Grove; one brother, Johnny Herron of Gastonia; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 tonight at Stamey Funeral Home.
She was born in Cleveland County.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Margaret and Steve Morrison of Casar; one son, Tyler Shell of the home; one sister,
Jennifer Campbell of Maiden and three brothers, John Morrison, Gerrie Morrison and Mark Morrison all of Shelby.
