KINGS MOUNTAIN — Cone Milton Simpson, 71, of Mary’s Grove Church Road, died May 24, 2003. Funeral services will be private.
Born in Cherryville, he was the former owner and retired from Cone Simpson Painting.
Survivors include three brothers, Ken Simpson of Kings Mountain, Jerry Simpson of Florida and Max E. Simpson of Connley Springs and
one sister, Lib Shull of Cherryville.

CHERRYVILLE — Judy Parker Arthur, 57, of 2224 Brown Road, died May 24, 2003. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at North Brook Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial will
be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:45 p.m. today at the church.
Born in Gaston County she was a medical lab technician.
Survivors include her husband Harry Arthur Jr. of the home; three sons, Buddy Arthur and Jeff Arthur, both of Cherryville, and Dusty
Arthur of Charlotte; one grandson, Dylan Arthur of Waco; two brothers, Marty Parker of Lincolnton and Floyd Parker of Gastonia and seven sisters, Betty Parker, Patsy Reep, Joanne Finger and Nancy Hester, all of
Lincolnton, Dorothy Edwards of Mt. Holly and Linda Sigmon of Conover.

friends following the service at the cemetery.
Born in Cleveland County, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, Cecil Jenkins of Cherryville, and Max Jenkins, Webb Jenkins and Gary Jenkins, all of Lincolnton; three
daughters, Nancy Travis of Maiden, Rachel Laney of Iron Station and Dorothy Homesley of Lincolnton; 26 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Mittie Hoyle Hauss, 100, of 2870 Hwy. 182, died May 23, 2003. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Bethphage Church Cemetery.
Born in Lincoln County, she was an elementary school teacher.

DENVER — Benjamin Edmund Neal Jr., 83, of 3172 Lakeshore Road South, died May 24, 2003. A memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m.

Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a WWII veteran, a director with the National Association of Music Merchants, Inc., the president of
his family music business, a special investigator with the Erie County Department of Social Services, a member of Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church and was active in East Lincoln Christian Ministries and a member
of the Lake Norman Power Squadron.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth “Betty” Neal; a daughter, Barbara Neal Reese of Denver; two sons, Benjamin E. Neal III, of
Racine, WI and James W. Neal of Charlotte; five grandchildren, William G. Reese IV, Monica C. Neal, Kimberly E. Neal, Patricia Ann Neal and Bradley H. Neal.

Survivors include two sons, Walter Clancy of Maiden and John Clancy of Denver; a daughter, Lee Clancy of St. Petersburg, Fla.; four
grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
