H. Carpenter

CRAMERTON — Helen Houser Carpenter, 86, of 302 Abbey Street, died May 20, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Riverwood Worship Center, where she was a member. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Born in Catawba County, she was retired from Matthews-Belk Company. After retirement, she worked as an aid at the Brian Center.

Survivors include one son, David Carpenter of Gastonia; two daughters, Peggy Weaver of the home and Dottie Young of Florence, SC; one sister, Audena Spain of Clemmons, SC; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Riverwood Worship Center, 425 Neal Hawkins Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.

Carothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Katie Ramseur

MAIDEN — Katie Reinhardt Ramseur, 104, of Maiden, died May 22, 2003.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home.

Mittie Hauss

Mittie Hoyle Hauss, 100, of 2870 Hwy. 182, died May 23, 2003.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Warlick Funeral Home.
