Edith Black Hovis, 91, of 2540 Salem Church Road, died May 5, 2003. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. today at Warlick Funeral Home. Burial followed in Hovis
Family Cemetery.
Born in Gaston County, she was a bookkeeper in the retail furniture industry.
Survivors include one grandson, Charlie Mattox of High Shoals; two brothers, Houston Black of
Mooresboro, Johnny Black of Alexis; two sisters, Martha Morris of River Bend, Lottie Cloninger of High Shoals; three great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.

LAWNDALE — Angela Juanita Jenkins-Wilson, 31, of 147 Gray Fox Drive, Lot 17, died May 6, 2003. Funeral services will be Friday at 4 p.m. at Hospice at
Wendover. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Born in Cleveland County she was a cashier at Burger King.
Survivors include her husband Ernest Michael Wilson Sr. of Lawndale; father, Jessie Holt; mother, Kathy
Smith Holt; two sons, William Earl Jenkins and Devon Hambright both of Lawndale; one daughter, Caroline Hambright of Lawndale; one sister, Crystal Hullender of Black Moutain; maternal grandparents, Dorothy and
Victor Blackwell and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Jean Holt.

family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Born in Onslow County, she was a realtor for Caldwell Banker and Lawing and Associates.
Survivors include three sons, Rand Childs of Huntsville, Ala.; Steve Childs and Cameron Childs both of
Lincolnton; one daughter, Rosanne C. Peticca of Mooresville; three brothers, Donald Rand of Hartsell, Ala.; John Rand and Nathaniel Rand, both of Richland; eight grandchildren, Ian Childs, Ryan Childs, Jennifer
Sigmon, Sara Childs, Ashley Childs, Andrew Childs, Austin Peticca and Gabrielle Peticca and one great-grandson Caleb Sigmon.

Born in Catawba County he was a retired farmer.
Survivors include five brothers, Ray Heavner of Decatur, Tenn., Joe Heavner of Maiden, Edward Heavner
of Homestead, Fla., and Carol Heavner and Randy Heavner, both of Lincolnton; six sisters, Louise Finger of Vale, Kat Reynolds of Montrey, Calif., Mary Shook of Maiden, Ruby Canipe and Judy Mosteller both of
Lincolnton and Helen Rogers of Walled Lake, MI.
