Frank Angel

Frank Hubert Angel, 87, of 656 Lore Road, died April 30, 2003. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at E.F. Drum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Born in Catawba County, he was a paint contractor and a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife Addie E. Angel; one son, Jerry L. Angel; three grandchildren, Gloria Angel Pennell, Lori Angel Hamrick and Jason Lee Angel; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.

 

Catherine Porter

SHELBY — Catherine Berry Porter, 70, of 1219 Masonic Drive, died April 30, 2003. 

Arrangements are incomplete at Enloe Mortuary.

SHELBY — Rajshaun Lateef Chatman, 21, of 921 Surry Drive, died April 29, 2003.

Arrangements are incomplete at Enloe Mortuary.

 

Joseph Eaves

SHELBY — Joseph Alexander Eaves, 92, of 6 Bolt Drive, April 26, 2003. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Eskridge Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Enloe Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

 

Edith Lingerfelt

VALE — Edith Shuford Lingerfelt, 79, of 7454 Lingerfelt Road, died April 30, 2003. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stamey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hull’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery where she was a member. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 until 8 at Stamey Funeral Home.

Born in Cleveland County, she was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Don Lingerfelt and Charles Lingerfelt, both of Vale; one daughter Joyce Ann Brittain of Connelly Springs; one sister Arbedella Rhodes of Maiden; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hull’s Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 6263 W. Hwy. 27, Vale, NC 28168.

 

Robert Sherrill

SHERRILLS FORD — Robert Lee Sherrill, 75, died April 30, 2003. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Iredell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Born in Catawba County he was an office manager for Precision Machine retiree, a member of Sherrills Ford Presbyterian Church, where he was a deacon, a former member of the Lions Club, a member of the Lake Norman Senior Citizens Band, and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

Survivors include his wife Nell McNeely Sherrill; two sisters, Polly Heavner of Lincolnton and Sue Lutz of Terrell; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.

 

Sue Myrick

IRON STATION — Sue Betty Myrick, 68, of 540 Mt. Vernon Church Road, died April 29, 2003. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Saturday at Link’s Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

Born in Lincoln County she was a traffic enforcement agent retiree from the City of New York Department of Transportation.

Survivors include one son, Tyrone Douglas Myrick of Brooklyn, NY; one daughter, Sandra Myrick Wilson of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, Thomas Moore of Iron Station, and Jack Moore of Charlotte; four sisters, Grace Logan, Pauline Coltrane, Adell Allen all of Iron Station and Gertha McFadden of Orangeburg, SC; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Ebony & White’s Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
