Rosa Lee Scronce Rhyne, 80, of the Heath House, died May 10, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. today at Crowell Memorial United Methodist
Church where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She worked as a panel and button maker in the furniture industry until retirement.
Survivors include one daughter, Ailene Jarrett of Conover; two sons, Colon Rhyne of Columbus, Miss., and Bill Rhyne of Lincolnton; a brother, John Scronce
Jr. of Maiden; two sisters, Mattie Smith of Charlotte, and Eva Stroud of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Greg Jarrett, and Angie Deal; and five great-grandchildren.

Born in Lincoln County, she worked as a secretary for at her
husband’s dairy farm equipment business until retirement. She was the music teacher for the four-year old Sunday School class at her church, and the adult Sunday School Class. She was an active member of the Church Circle and a den mother for Den 1, Pack 4 at First United Methodist.
Survivors include her son, Charles E. Elliott of Charlotte; one sister, Mallie Williams of Cherryville; and three grandchildren, Sarah Elliott, Libby
Elliott, and Chuck Elliott.
