In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Travis Inman of Iron Station.

Betty Rudisill Dalton, 69, of 302 North Houser Street, died March 16, 2002. A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home. Burial followed in City Memorial Cemetery.

Born in Gaston County, she was a shipping clerk for Hewlett Manufacturing in Cherryville until retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Attorney William Morris dead at 77

March 1, 2002 - A former assistant district attorney who served in Lincoln County died Wednesday after several years of declining health.

William L. Morris, 77, who had been residing at Lincoln Nursing Center, will be remembered as a competent lawyer and friend.

Lauren Gabrielle Whiteside, age 1, the daughter of William Travis Whiteside and Carla Michelle Williams-Whiteside, died Feb. 27, 2002. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
