IRON STATION — Joy “Kitten” Mutter Miller, 39, of 2005 Hwy. 73, died March 28, 2002. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at Warlick Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Sherry Sparks Greene, 29, of 877 Arrow Drive, died March 25, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Memorial Baptist Church where she was a member. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight at Stamey Funeral Home from 6 until 8.

CHERRYVILLE — Walter Jenkins Chapman, 88, of 700 Self Street, died March 24, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Wesleyan Church where he was a member. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church from 1 until 2:30 p.m.

Zenuis “Buck” Dellinger, 51, of 1869 Thornhill Lane, died March 20, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the gymnasium at West Lincoln Middle School. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 8:30 p.m. at Carpenter’s Funeral Home.

IRON STATION — Amber Lashea Price, infant daughter of Debbie Inman and Chad Price, was born and died March 16, 2002.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Travis Inman of Iron Station.

Warlick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Betty Dalton

Betty Rudisill Dalton, 69, of 302 North Houser Street, died March 16, 2002. A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home. Burial followed in City Memorial Cemetery.

Born in Gaston County, she was a shipping clerk for Hewlett Manufacturing in Cherryville until retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

VALE — Terry Dale Gantt, 49, of 7346 Reeps Grove Church Road, died March 13, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at Warlick Funeral Home. Attorney William Morris dead at 77

March 1, 2002 - A former assistant district attorney who served in Lincoln County died Wednesday after several years of declining health.

William L. Morris, 77, who had been residing at Lincoln Nursing Center, will be remembered as a competent lawyer and friend.

Lauren Gabrielle Whiteside, age 1, the daughter of William Travis Whiteside and Carla Michelle Williams-Whiteside, died Feb. 27, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
