Alpha Clinard

MAIDEN — Alpha Grey Clinard, 79, of 5531 Bucks Garage Road, died Jan. 22, 2004. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Amity Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Amity Baptist Church, 881 Amity Church Road, Denver, NC 28037.

Burke Mortuary in Maiden was in charge of arrangements.

 

Kelly Morgan

Kelly Poteat Morgan, 45, of 176 Hauss Road, died Jan. 24, 2004. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Born in Lincoln County, she was a lab technician at Fabritex.

Survivors include one daughter, Josey Morgan of the home; parents, Bobbie and Ruby Poteat of Lincolnton and one nephew, Joshua Hedrick of Vale.

Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 495 Horseshoe Lake Road, NC 28092.

 

Myrtle Leonhardt

CHERRYVILLE — Myrtle Hoover Leonhardt, 85, of 2505 Lincolnton Hwy., died Jan. 24, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in Bethphage Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carpenters Funeral Home.

Born in Lincoln County, she was retired from Carlton Mill.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Leonhardt of Lincolnton and Don Leonhardt of Vale; four grandchildren, Blake Leonhardt, Suzanne Scronce, Billy Leonhardt and Teresa Leonhardt and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive 999, Charlotte, NC 28215-3220 or St. John’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Church St., Cherryville, NC 28021.

 

Linda Godfrey

SHELBY — Belinda Vonzell “Ruffin” Godfrey, 49, of 1004-B N. Morgan St., died Jan. 21, 2004. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at ST Enloe Memorial Chapel at Enloe Mortuary. Burial followed at Webb Memorial Lawns.

MAIDEN — Jennifer Leann Peeler Murphy, 30, of 417 Shawnee Trial, died Jan. 25, 2004.

Arrangements are incomplete at Warlick Funeral Home.
