Don Taylor Wallace, 41, of Crystal Court, died Jan. 26, 2002. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Living Word Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Johnson Brown Hunter Sr., 85, of 124 Abernathy Street, died Jan. 24, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today at Tucker’s Grove United Methodist Church where he was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

REIDSVILLE — Thomas Frederick “Fred” Robertson Sr., 74, of 1554 Ashley Loop, died Jan. 23, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church where he was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

DENVER — Annie Lee Byars, 73, formerly of Unionville, died Jan. 21, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.

Vane Odell Mahala, 72, of 818 S. Government Street, died Jan. 19, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Reepsville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at Warlick Funeral Home.

CHERRYVILLE — Coley “Tump” Huss, 75, of 130 Dick Beam Road, died Jan. 14, 2002. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. today in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 1 to 2:30 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

Dennis Bell

SHELBY — Dennis Lee Bell, 60, of 113 Blackhawk Drive, died Jan. 11, 2002. A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Stamey Funeral Home Chapel.

Born in Cleveland County, he served in the National Guard, worked as a motor rewinder for Electric Motor Service until retirement, and was a life-time member of the Green River Beagle Club.

David Clarence Kincaid, 72, of the Heath House, formerly of Lowesville, died Jan. 9, 2002.  A funeral service will he held at 2 p.m. today at Pearl Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Hills Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the ceremony.

IRON STATION — Ollie Marie Williard Morris, 75, of 568 Amity Church Road, died Jan. 5, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Beth Haven Baptist Church in Denver where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church 90 minutes prior to the service.

CHERRYVILLE — Alene Fisher, 84, of 3428 Fish Pond Road, died Jan. 1, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Lincoln County, she was a homemaker. At her church, she was a Sunday School teacher, a choir member, the former director of the Keenagers, and the former President of the WMU.

James Wilfong

VALE — James “JWT” Walter Wilfong, 74, of Plateau Road, died Dec. 30, 2001. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. today at Plateau United Methodist Church where he was a member. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Born in Lincoln County, he was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and the owner and operator of J. W. Trucking until retirement.
