Born in Cleveland County, he served in the National Guard, worked as a motor rewinder for Electric Motor Service until retirement, and was a life-time member of the Green River Beagle Club.

Born in Lincoln County, she was a homemaker. At her church, she was a Sunday School teacher, a choir member, the former director of the Keenagers, and the former President of the WMU.

VALE — James “JWT” Walter Wilfong, 74, of Plateau Road, died Dec. 30, 2001. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. today at Plateau United Methodist Church where he was a member. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Born in Lincoln County, he was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and the owner and operator of J. W. Trucking until retirement.
