Ollie Marie Morris
IRON STATION — Ollie Marie Williard Morris, 75, of 568 Amity Church Road, died Jan. 5, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Beth Haven
Baptist Church in Denver where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church 90 minutes prior to the service.
Born in Oak Ridge, she was an inspector for Burlington Mills and Kayser Roth until retirement.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheri M. Bumgardner of Mt. Holly; three brothers, John Williard, Bill Williard, and Paul Williard, all of Oak Ridge; two
sisters, Janie Lee, and Bertha Carlyle, both of Oak Ridge; and two grandchildren, Jeffery Bumgardner, and Lauren Bumgardner.

Charles Hull
Charles Ellis Frank Hull, 64, of 3313 Hoffman Acres, died Jan. 3, 2002. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed in Hollybrook Cemetery.
Born in Lincoln County, he was a U. S. Army recruiter, and a Korean and Vietnam War veteran,
the former manager of the Gastonia Detox Center and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nung Cha Hull; two sons, Charles Ellis Franklin Hull Jr. of Crouse, and Ellis Franklin Hull of Lincolnton; one daughter, Suk Hui Hull Lee of New York, NY; one
brother, Benny Hull of Lincolnton; two sisters, Maggie Childers, and Jane Stamey, both of Lincolnton; and four grandchildren, David Lee, John Lee, Daniel Hull, and Donavon Hull.

Blair Julius Caldwell, 69, of 747 West 2nd Street, died Jan. 5, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born in Lincoln County, he was a maintenance worker for Rhyne Mills until retirement, a U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran, and was selected Veteran of
the Year 2001. He was also a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Chapter 59 DAV, the VFW, and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Caldwell; two step-sons, Thomas White of Rock Hill, S.C., and David White of York, S.C.; and two step-daughters, Libby White of Clover, S.C., and Carol
Gainey of Blackwood, S.C.
Lois Vernon
CHERRYVILLE — Lois Beam Payne Vernon, 85, of 401 West Academy Street, formerly of Lincolnton, died Jan. 6, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Riverview Baptist Church where she was a member. Burial will follow in Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 8 at Carpenters Funeral Home.
Born in Gaston County, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca V. Phillips, and Patricia P. Eaker, both of Cherryville; a son, Jerry B. Payne of Windsor; two sisters, Nell B.
Sellers of Cherryville, and Rachel B. Self of Gastonia; eight grandchildren, Donnie Vernon, Guy Eaker Jr., Carla Eaker, Lori Drum-Sain, Crystal Essary, Donna Coleman, William Carl Payne, and Kevin G. Payne; and 15
great-grandchildren.

Ralph Boone Sr
BESSEMER CITY — Ralph Jimmy Boone Sr., 81, died Jan. 5, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home. Burial will
follow in Westview Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Gaston County, he was a U.S. Army Air Corp. WWII veteran, and was the owner of PIC (Pictorial) Sign Company of Bessemer City and Gastonia for over
50 years. He was a member of Bessemer City First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Auddie Lorraine Bowser Boone; three sons, Skip Boone of Cherryville, Josh Boone of Bessemer City, and Rick Boone of Gastonia; a
daughter, Melody Boone of Lillington; and five grandchildren, April Williams, Mandi Boone, Patton Boone, Brandon Boone, and Christy Philbeck.

Survivors include two daughters, Ola Mae Foster of Iron Station, and Helen Kelly of Willimantic, Conn.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Born in Lincoln County, she was retired from Crown Converting.
Survivors include one son, Bill Crowder of Lincolnton; one daughter, Carolyn C. Butler of Lincolnton; one sister, Vivalee Seagle of Sherrills Ford; two brothers, Austin Chapman, Jr. of
